How To MANAGE a Small Law Firm is seeking an experienced Fractional Controller to guide solo law firm owners in understanding numbers, profitability, and smarter financial decisions from a remote, full-time role.

You will work with a roster of 40 clients, lead monthly strategy calls, analyze statements, build dashboards, and forecast cash flow while coaching clients toward disciplined financial habits.

Qualifications

• Controller or senior-level accounting/finance experience.

Location Requirement

This is a remote position, but we can only hire candidates who reside in AZ, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, LA, MD, MI, MO, NC, NE, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, VA, WA, or WV.

We're looking for an experienced Fractional Controller to help solo law firm owners understand their numbers, improve profitability, and make smarter financial decisions.

You’ll advise a roster of 40 clients as part of a Fractional Executive Team of CEOs, COOs, CFOs, and Controllers.

What You’ll Do

• Lead monthly 1:1 financial strategy calls with clients
• Analyze financial statements, KPIs, profitability, and cash flow
• Build and interpret financial dashboards
• Prepare short-term cash flow forecasts and identify risks
• Turn financial data into clear, actionable recommendations
• Coach clients toward stronger financial habits and accountability

What We’re Looking For

• Controller or senior-level accounting/finance experience

The Details

Remote | Full-Time

Some evening availability and travel required.

Compensation

$110,000 to $145,000 total annual compensation, including base pay, roster-based earnings, additional projects, and projected bonuses.
