Job summary

The University of Virginia School of Law seeks candidates for a small number of tenure-line (entry-level, full) or visiting faculty positions beginning in August 2027. These new faculty members will join a vibrant scholarly community in the School of Law, which takes pride in its collegial and supportive environment.

Entry-level candidates are strongly encouraged to register with the AALS Faculty Appointments Register (FAR). The positions will remain open to applications until filled.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school or foreign equivalent strongly preferred.
• In exceptional cases, a terminal degree in the applicant’s field (e.g., a Ph.D.) will be considered.
