Job summary

The City of Naples Police Department is seeking qualified police officers to enforce laws and protect the public. The role requires certification or eligibility for Florida CJSTC programs and a clean record.

Offers include a $5,000 signing bonus, moving expense reimbursement up to $2,500, a $2/hour shift differential, tuition reimbursement up to $5,000 annually, and uniforms provided. Eligible personnel may receive longevity pay after 10 years of service.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Florida Department of Law Enforcement Police Officer Certification, or equivalent out-of-state certification with eligibility for Florida CJSTC Equivalency of Training.
• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• Must have a valid Florida driver license and clean driving record.
• Not convicted of felonies or certain misdemeanors per Florida Statutes 943.13.
• Pass PAT, medical, psychological, and drug testing.
• Be at least 21 years old and a US citizen.
• No offensive tattoos; complies with tobacco policy.

Responsibilities

• General enforcement of laws and ordinances and maintenance of public safety.
• Work shifts including holidays as assigned.
• Performs related duties per department policies.
