Job summary

Law Offices of Samer Habbas Inc. PC in Irvine, CA seeks a law clerk to work with attorneys, manage case documents, conduct research, and draft materials for trial.

The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school (minimum 2L) or a recent graduate waiting to be barred. Responsibilities include assisting with case management, performing research and discovery, drafting motions and legal documents, and maintaining confidential communications.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school or recent graduate
• Law review, judicial extern/internships, TA position a plus
• Strong research, oral, and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to discuss complex information in detail
• Ability and willingness to take on a variety of new tasks in a fast-paced environment, and adapt and change the priority of tasks as needed
• Previous law firm experience is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

• Assisting practicing attorneys with case management
• Conducting research and discovery for assigned cases
• Participating in the drafting of legal research and motions
• Strictly adhere to ethical standards, including those concerning confidential communications
