Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Laundry Worker to help maintain clean linens and garments for a long-term care facility. You will operate laundry equipment, sort and fold laundry, and distribute items while ensuring a sanitary environment and positive interactions with residents and staff.

The position offers on-site work with benefits eligibility. Minimum education is a high school diploma or equivalent, and prior laundry experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous laundry experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform repetitive tasks daily.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of laundry activities and report maintenance or safety issues.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.


• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies


• Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.


• Must be able to work around cleaning products.


• Able to follow oral and written instructions, and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.


• Residency within the service area required
