Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Laundry Worker to maintain cleanliness and availability of linens and garments in a long-term care facility, contributing to a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff.

You will operate laundry equipment, sort and fold items, and follow infection control practices while delivering friendly service.

Previous laundry experience is preferred but not required; a high school diploma is preferred; residency in the service area is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous laundry experience is preferred but not required.
• Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with residents, staff, and guests.
• Residency within the service area required.
• Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods.
• Must be able to work around cleaning products.
• Able to follow oral and written instructions, and perform routine tasks daily.
• COVID-19 vaccination policies compliance.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain records of laundry activities and report any maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
