The Laundry Tech plays a critical role in supporting Augusta Health’s mission and advancing departmental goals through measurable performance indicators and service excellence. This position contributes to a collaborative, patient-centered environment and helps drive outcomes aligned with organizational priorities.

This individual performs a variety of diversified laundry duties in the hospital laundry to include weigh, fold, stock and delivery of laundry items to the various departments in the facility. Takes linen inventory as needed.

• Collect soiled linen from linen chutes and/or hampers and transport soiled linen to laundry in soiled linen carts.
• Separate and weigh soiled linens.
• Load and unload laundry from dryers.
• Check linen for stains and tears. Linen is removed from circulation and repaired or discarded.
• Count linen and add linen to carts as required.
• Load and transport linen carts to designated areas.
• Clean laundry area and equipment as needed.
• Put linen orders together for off‑site locations.
• Operate all equipment and machinery as required.
