Job summary

The Westin Chicago North Shore in Wheeling, IL is seeking a Laundry Attendant to process soiled linen, operate washers and dryers, and ensure folded items meet quality standards. You will sort, fold, and stock linens while maintaining a clean, safe work area.

This role requires reliability, ability to lift, and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Compensation starts at $19 per hour, with benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Receive and sort soiled linen into appropriate containers.
• Process sorted linen utilizing washers, dryers, sheet spreaders, ironers, and feeder/folders and ensure finished product meets quality standards.
• Place folded linen in the designated shelf or storage area.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Notify supervisor of equipment malfunctions or needed supplies to keep operations running smoothly.
• Be available for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy linens and operate industrial laundry equipment.
• Speak in language understood by guests and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Always provide professional and courteous service.
• Receive and sort soiled linen into appropriate containers.
• Process sorted linen utilizing the washers, dryers, sheet spreaders, ironers, and feeder/folders ensuring finished product is inspected and meets quality standards.
• Place the folded Terry and Linen in the designated shelf or storage area.
• Maintain assigned work area in a clean and safe condition.
• Notify Supervisor/Manager of malfunctioning equipment, supplies needed, damaged linens, to ensure laundry operation is running at maximum efficiency level.
• Any other job or duties assigned by your manager or supervisor.
