VA Connecticut Healthcare System is seeking a Motor Vehicle Operator (Laundry Driver) at the West Haven campus. The role requires operating a van-type truck on Medical Center grounds and occasionally on public highways to transport linen, contaminated waste, furniture, and trash.

Work schedule is full-time, 40 hours, Wed-Sun 10:00a-6:30p EST. A valid state driver’s license and safe driving record are required. Drug testing is conducted; relocation and telework are not offered.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Incumbent operates a gasoline powered vehicle with a hydraulic tail lift and loads heavier items by hand.

Responsabilités

• Operate a gasoline powered vehicle with a ten-speed transmission and hydraulic tail lift.
• Transport linen, contaminated waste, furniture and trash on and off station.
• Assist with loading/unloading, cleaning, and basic maintenance of vehicle and equipment.
