Job summary

Presbyterian Communities of South Carolina is seeking a part-time Housekeeping/Laundry (Neighborhood Specialist) to maintain resident rooms and public areas in a warm, safe environment. Responsibilities include cleaning, linen laundry, light meal prep, restocking and responding to resident requests.

The position offers alternating weekends, weekly pay, and benefits including PTO, dental and vision. Prior housekeeping experience in a retirement community is preferred, with strong attention to

• Previous housekeeping, laundry and cleaning experience preferred.
• Previous experience working in a retirement community preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and lift heavy items.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform various cleaning duties such as dusting, vacuuming, and mopping in resident rooms, hallways, and common areas.
• Change and launder bed linens and towels as required.
• Assist with meal prep and clean up as needed.
• Restock supplies such as toiletries and cleaning products.
• Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
• Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond to resident and staff requests promptly.

Description

This is a part-time position which will be approximately 16-20 hours per week (including every other weekend).

Our Housekeeping/Laundry (Neighborhood Specialist) position ensures resident rooms and common areas are clean, sanitary, and inviting. We are currently seeking a dedicated, service-minded and detail-oriented individual to join our team. This position has a significant and meaningful impact on the lives of our residents, staff and visitors by creating a safe, warm and welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities:
