Job summary

Shadelands Post Acute in Walnut Creek, CA, is seeking a Laundry/Housekeeper - Full-Time to maintain clean linen and a sanitary environment for residents. You will sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry, deliver items to rooms, and follow all safety and sanitation procedures.

No certifications are required; GED or high school diploma preferred, with at least 1 year of experience. This healthcare role offers starting pay of $18–$19 per hour and a stable full-time schedule.

Responsibilities

• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new resident's clothing items as needed
• Sorting, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms
• Follows all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties Maintain inventory of laundry supplies
• Use all laundry equipment and supplies in a safe manner.
• Report laundry equipment issues to the Administrator

Job Opening: Laundry/Housekeeper - Full-Time

Location: Shadelands Post Acute

Compensation: Starting at $18 - $19 per hour DOE

General Purpose

Performs a variety of general laundry and housekeeping/cleaning duties to provide quality laundry service and to maintain the nursing home in a sanitary manner, and free from offensive orders.

Essential Duties

• Make available a quantity of clean linen for proper care and comfort of all residents.
• Maintain all linen in good repair and remove from service any linen with holes and/or stains.
• Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
• Label new resident's clothing items as needed
• Sorting, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens
• Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms
• Follows all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties Maintain inventory of laundry supplies
