Job summary

Westgate Smoky Mountain Resort & Spa in Gatlinburg, Tennessee is seeking a Laundry Driver to support our guest services by transporting clean and dirty linens between buildings and the laundry facility. You will load and unload trucks, secure cargo, and ensure timely deliveries across the resort campuses.

Qualified candidates must have a valid Tennessee driver’s license with at least 3 years of driving experience, be able to lift 50 lbs, and work outdoors in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Tennessee driver's license with at least 3 years of driving experience.
• Must meet state/local licensing requirements for the vehicle to be operated.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Background screening and drug test are required; must be eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload and deliver trucks to destinations.
• Position linen carts inside the laundry truck and secure cargo during transit.
• Sign out keys and radio; manage daily pickups of dirty laundry.
• Deliver linen buckets to buildings according to schedules.
• Refuel the truck and clean the vehicle at shift end.
• Report issues to mechanics; assist in sorting, washing or folding laundry as needed.
• Wear a safety vest while operating the vehicle; perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Pick up and drop off clean and dirty linen to and from specified destinations, by performing the following duties.

As a Laundry Driver, you will:

• Load, unload and deliver trucks to destination
• Position linen carts inside laundry truck while securing with blocks and tie rope around items to secure cargo during transit
• Sign out keys and radio
• Pick up all dirty laundry from all buildings throughout the day
• Deliver linen buckets to buildings according to given schedules
• Fill up gas tank before end of shift and clean the truck
• Report any issues to the mechanics
• Assist inside the laundry by sorting, washing or folding the resort linen as needed
• Wear safety vest while operating vehicle
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

• Must have Valid Tennessee Driver's License with 3 years driving experience
• Must have at least one year experience in driving the class of vehicle to be operated and must meet all state and local licensing requirements
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must be able to lift 50lbs and work in outdoor weather conditions
• Required to pass a background screen, drug test, and prove eligibility to work in the United States
