Job summary

Columbia Hospitality, Inc. is seeking a part-time Laundry Attendant at Hotel Leo in Bellingham, WA. The role involves laundering, altering, and repairing linens to hotel standards, maintaining par levels, and coordinating with laundry services.

You will work closely with the housekeeping team in a fast-paced hotel setting. Requirements include about 1 year of hotel laundry or related experience, familiarity with cleaning and chemical applications, and a willingness to work in a dynamic

• Knowledge of cleaning/laundry techniques and chemical applications a plus.
• Desire to work in a fast-paced role.

Responsibilities

• Launder, alter and repair linens, towels and other items according to standards.
• Maintain linen and towel par levels for hotel operations.
• Remove damaged/stained linen and report for repair or disposal if needed.
• Sort and prep soiled laundry for pickup by contracted services; process deliveries.
• Keep accurate records of laundry services.

What Success Looks Like:

Your Impact

• Launders, alters and repairs linens, towels and other items in accordance with established standards
• Maintains linen and towel par levels for all hotel operations
• Removes damaged and stained linen from circulation. Makes repairs when possible. Reports items with damage beyond repair
• Sorts and prepares soiled hotel linen, and other laundry for pickup by contracted laundry service(s). Receives and processes laundry service deliveries
• Keeps accurate and complete records of laundry services
• Follows all safety procedures. Reports all unsafe conditions immediately. Uses equipment and chemicals only as intended
• Keeps work area and inventory clean and organized
• Assists fellow housekeeping team members when possible and appropriate
