Job summary

Lark Hotels is seeking a part-time laundry attendant for 1-3 days per week. Shifts depend on occupancy, so flexibility is required. You will handle guest laundry and work with the housekeeping team to ensure timely, high-quality service.

Responsibilities include washing, drying, folding, and reporting maintenance issues while following safety protocols. Availability for peak times is essential.

• Must read and follow safety labels on chemical bottles and use SDS sheets when required.
• Attention to safety when operating cleaning equipment and wearing protective gear.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow safety labels on chemical bottles.
• Turn in all guest laundry to Executive Housekeeper with proper dating and tagging.
• Wear protective gear such as gloves, goggles, kneepads.
• Separate items by type (towels, sheets, blankets).
• Wash items per equipment/chemical methods and pretreat heavily soiled items.
• Dry items using the proper heat setting.
• Fold, stack, and store laundered items to minimize wrinkling.
• Inspect linens/terry for quality; set aside stained/damaged items.
• Clean dryer lint traps in the morning and after two hours of use.
• Understand operation of laundry equipment and report problems promptly.
• Assist room attendants with stripping rooms and stay-over service.

Job Duties

• Read and follow safety labels on chemical bottles (Do Not Mix); understands the uses of all cleaning equipment; refer to SDS sheets before use.
• Turn in all guest articles found in laundry to Executive Housekeeper; ensure items are properly dated, bagged and tagged
• Wear protective gear such as gloves, goggles, kneepads to work safely and prevent injury
• Separate items according to type- i.e.: towels, sheets, blankets, etc.
• Wash items according to methods prescribed by equipment and cleaning chemicals;pretreat heavily soiled items
• Dry all items using the proper heat setting
• Promptly fold, stack, and store all items laundered to minimize wrinkling
• Inspect cleaned linens and terry to ensure quality control; set aside any stained or damaged items for Supervisor
• Clean dryer lint traps in the morning, and after each two hours of use (some locations performed by maintenance)
• Understand operation of all laundry equipment; recognize and report any equipment maintenance problems promptly
• Responsible for assisting room attendants with stripping rooms and/or stay-over service.
