Job Summary

Responsible for washing, drying, and folding linen, treating stains, and managing requests for linen processing. Maintain communication with housemen, supervisors, and management to meet hotel and guest needs. Complete all assigned tasks and duties as an employee.

Essential Duties & Functions
  • Operational Responsibilities: Provide quality linen and towels, manage inventory, record/track reclaim/discard, handle chemicals.
  • Guest Services: Respond to guest requests promptly.
  • Team Support and Training: Complete training checklists and participate in safety and stellar committees.
  • Communication and Reporting: Maintain constant communication with supervisors and team members.
  • Safety & Compliance: Follow hotel policies, safety protocols, and chemical standards.
Basics
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization.
  • Display courteous behavior.
  • Report unsafe conditions.
  • Ensure equipment is in working order.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements
  1. Standing/Walking: Constantly, on tile and cement.
  2. Stooping: Constantly during linen processing.
  3. Twisting: Frequently during linen handling.
  4. Balancing: Occasionally when placing linen on carts and shelves.
  5. Handling/Grasping: Constantly handling linen.
  1. Pushing/Pulling: Occasionally up to 150 lbs.
  2. Lifting/Carrying: Frequently up to 25 lbs., occasionally 50 lbs.
Working Environment
  • Indoor environment with exposure to heat, humidity, and chemicals.
Qualifications
  • Previous laundry/housekeeping experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read labels in English.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a small area.
  • Neat appearance and good hygiene.
  • Flexible schedule and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively.
