$15/HR

The Laundry Attendant maintains a constant supply of clean linens for the hotel. Responsibilities include all stages of linen processing, such as collecting, transporting, sorting, weighing, loading, unloading (washers, dryers, and chutes), ironing, folding, storing, and delivering linens. The role also involves cleaning laundry machinery and the laundry area.

Responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Ability to work well under stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
  • Ability to push/pull laundry carts weighing between 50-400 lbs (may vary by property).
  • Occasionally pull linens from washers to dryers, weighing between 25-150 lbs (may vary by property).

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Operate washing machines and dryers effectively.
  • Wash and dry all linens, towels, rags, etc., as directed by management.
  • Clean dryer filters daily and maintain equipment as trained.
  • Operate iron according to standards, ensuring it is shut off at the end of each day (may vary by property).
  • Fold linens and towels, and stock linen carts as needed.
  • Practice safe work habits to ensure safety for guests and staff.
  • Sweep and mop laundry floors, storing linens off the floor.
  • Familiarize with Aimbridge Hospitality’s policies and house rules.
  • Remove and sort dirty linens and towels from laundry carts.
  • Keep laundry carts clean and debris-free.
  • Stock linen closets throughout the hotel as applicable.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisors or managers.
