Job summary

BENCHMARK is seeking a Laundry Attendant for the Pittsburgh Airport Marriott. You will engage with guests, perform laundry duties, and maintain clean and organized areas. The ideal candidate has housekeeping experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage time effectively.

The position requires the ability to lift at least 25 lbs and work on feet for extended periods. Pay is $13.50 per hour, with a focus on creating an inclusive work environment.

Job Title

Laundry Attendant – Pittsburgh Airport Marriott (Pyramid Global Hospitality)

Responsibilities

• Engage with guests to ensure their stay is going well.
• Work as a team to accomplish the goal of resort/hotel cleanliness.
• Perform laundry duties: washing, drying, ironing, and folding of all hotel room linens and restaurant/catering linens.
• Keep the laundry area and common areas clean and organized.
• Daily cleaning of housekeeping and maintenance staff restrooms.
• Understand proper utilization of equipment, chemicals, and appropriate safety procedures.
• Assist houseman and housekeepers as necessary.
• Help maintain a safe work environment.
• Respond in a friendly, helpful manner to other team members.

Qualifications

• Housekeeping experience desirable.
• Neat, pleasant personality.
• Time management skills.
• Ability to work on feet for an extended period.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to move, traverse, and position self to reach corners on floors and high places; navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces, and operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads, and dusters.
• Lift, carry and position loads of at least 25 lbs.

Compensation

Pay: $13.50 per hour
