Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW:

As Laundry Attendant, you will be responsible for providing a constant supply of clean linens for the entire hotel. Your duties include organizing, cleaning, and sorting hotel linens, including sheets and towels. You will also use provided cleaning materials to address items in need of extra attention.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

1. Operate washing and drying equipment, load and unload laundry from machines, and measure and administer cleaning agents according to product specifications.
2. Monitor washer feeder information, ensure all drums are full, and report any irregularities to your supervisor.
3. Set proper drying and cooling times for different types of linen.
4. Lift wet, clean articles from washers and place them into wringers and dryers for measured cycles.
5. Sort dried articles by identification number or type.
6. Fold items and place them in storage.
7. Maintain cleanliness of equipment and the work area.
8. Follow attendance rules and be available to work on a regular schedule.
