Job summary

Cliff House Maine in Cape Neddick, ME is seeking a housekeeping team member to monitor and maintain the availability of linens and towels, and to work closely with other departments to ensure the daily needs of the operation are met.

This role requires attention to detail, flexibility with hours including nights and weekends, and a collaborative spirit as you help keep laundry facilities safe, clean and well organized.

Pay ranges from $17 to $22 per hour, with full-time and part-time openings.

Qualifications

• Previous related experience is helpful, but we will train the right attitude.
• Understand proper cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and housekeeping equipment.
• Must work well with others, have an eye for detail and the ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Flexibility with work days and hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain safety, cleanliness, sanitation and organization of laundry facilities, equipment, and storage areas.
• Proactively remove torn or stained linen from circulation for reclaim or discard according to standards.
• Maintain knowledge of proper maintenance and use of equipment.
• Follow procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing of, or moving objects/materials and cleanup of hazardous materials per OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Standards.
• Report any damages or maintenance problems promptly.

• Take pride in your work by monitoring and maintaining safety, cleanliness, sanitation and organization of laundry facilities, equipment, and storage areas.


• Be proactive in removing from circulation any torn or stained linen for reclaim or discard according to standards.


• Maintain complete knowledge of proper maintenance and use of equipment.


• Follow the required procedures for handling, cleaning, disposing of, or moving objects/materials and/or the clean-up of hazardous materials in accordance with the OSHA Bloodborne Pathogen Standards.


• Promptly report any damages or maintenance problems.
