Job summary

21c Museum Hotels seeks a Laundry Attendant to help ensure guest rooms are clean and comfortable, and to provide amenities that elevate guest enjoyment. Reports To: Housekeeping Manager. Applicants must be available on weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include operating washers/dryers, sorting linens, removing stains, stocking supplies, and assisting housekeepers to maintain hotel standards. High school or equivalent, 1–2 years in a related role preferred.

Qualifications

• Good eye for detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Working knowledge of housekeeping policies and operations.
• Ability to communicate clearly with management and guests.
• Demonstrates enthusiasm for all things 21c.

Responsibilities

• Assist with stripping dirt linen from guest rooms as needed.
• Sort linens for washer.
• Remove stains from badly soiled linen.
• Dispose of linen and towels properly.
• Operate washers and dryers properly with correct chemicals.
• Fold linens to hotel standards and restock designated places.
• Wash bed wraps, duvets, mattress pads, and blankets per hotel standards.
• Keep laundry neat and clean.
• Assist housekeepers in cleanliness of hotel.
• Assist with cleaning and upkeep of storage areas.
• All other duties assigned.

General Purpose:TheLaundryAttendanthelpensurethe cleanliness and comfort of guest rooms prior to occupancyand providesspecial amenities to enhance guest enjoyment.

SpecificResponsibilities

• Assistwith stripping of dirt linen from the guest rooms as needed

• Operate washers and dryers properly as well as ensuring that the correct chemicals (and amounts) are being used
• Fold linens to hotel standards and keep stock organized designated places
• Wash bed wraps, duvets, mattress pads, and blanketsin accordance withhotel standards
• Keeplaundry neatand clean
• Assisthousekeepers in cleanliness of hotel
• Assistwith cleaning and up-keeping of storage areas
• All other duties assigned

Qualifications

• Recommended one to two years of employment in a related position with this company or other organizations.
• Physical Requirements
• Able to push25lb cart.
• Must be able to bend downnumeroustimes per day.
• Walking, standing, bending, lifting, sitting,reaching, twisting,turning.
• Must be able topull/ pushwet heavy laundry of carts
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
• Must be able to push or pull a minimum of 100 pounds
