Job summary

B. F. Saul Company Hospitality Group is seeking a Laundry Attendant responsible for processing all soiled hotel bed linens, terry and food & beverage linens by operating laundry machinery to quality standards.

You will assist guests with friendly, courteous service and uphold health regulations. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and teamwork to support housekeeping and hotel operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Housekeeping/laundry experience preferred.
• Attention to detail, customer focused and the ability to perform duties in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete laundry procedures: sort, wash, dry, fold, iron, inspect, transport, and organize hotel linens; operate and maintain equipment; ensure sanitation standards.
• Provide guest service by responding to requests promptly and delivering high-quality service.
• Maintain safety by following chemical handling procedures and reporting maintenance needs.
• Plan and prioritize tasks; adhere to attendance, grooming, and department procedures.

This position is responsible for processing all soiled hotel bed linens, terry and food and beverage table linens by operating all laundry machinery to B.F. Saul Company Hospitality Group quality standards. Assists guests by providing friendly, courteous and professional service, including adherence to health regulations. Follows B.F. Saul Company Hospitality Group high standards of quality to ensure guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Cleanliness: Responsible for completing all laundry procedures; sort, wash, dry, fold, iron, inspect, transport, organize all hotel linens; operate, clean and maintain equipment; safely use chemicals to ensure sanitation standards are met. Ensures cart, linen, rooms, work areas and equipment are clean, stocked and in working order.
• Guest Service: Accountable for guest satisfaction as it pertains to housekeeping service at the property. Assists and responds to requests in a positive and timely manner while providing the highest level of quality service to the guest. Works as a team player in meeting guests and department needs, and actively contributes to the efforts of other departments as necessary. Understands and follows Hampton Inn guest service recovery program.
• Safety/Risk Management: Ensures a clean and safe work area in compliance with B.F. Saul Company Hospitality Group brand, local, state and federal regulations. Inspects work area and equipment for maintenance needs and reports any maintenance service issues. Knowledgeable on safe use of chemicals utilized within the housekeeping department. Follows all B.F. Saul Company Hospitality Group procedures for guest/team member’s incidents. Knowledgeable of hotel emergency procedures.
• Self-Management: Produces required volume of work by planning, organizing and prioritizing work duties. Adheres to B.F. Saul Company Hospitality Group attendance policy, grooming and appearance standards, and general work rules and department procedures. Attends all required department and hotel meetings. Responsible for proper use of all equipment and supplies.

Required Skills & Experience

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Housekeeping/laundry experience preferred. Attention to detail, customer focused and the ability to perform job duties in repetitious and fast paced environment.
• Ability to lift, push and pull up to 75 pounds on a consistent basis throughout shift.

$17.25 - $19 an hour

The actual base pay offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held. Base pay is one component of B. F. Saul Company & Affiliates total compensation package, which also includes access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, bonus plans and more.
