Job summary

Delaware North in Cross Lanes, West Virginia, is seeking a full-time Laundry Worker for Mardi Gras Casino. Responsibilities include sorting, staining, and operating laundry machines to wash and dry linens.

The position pays $15.90 per hour with evenings and weekend shifts, OT as needed, and a benefits package. Prior laundry or high-volume experience is preferred, with strong teamwork and basic math skills valued.

Qualifications

• Laundry worker experience in a hotel or other high-volume location preferred.
• Basic math skills.
• Effective communication skills; ability to communicate with guests and team.
• Ability to work effectively with others.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proper volume of detergent, water, bleach, starch, and other washing products.
• Sort and count articles removed from dryers, then fold, wrap, or hang them.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the laundry closet; washing, drying, sorting, and counting linens; folding and restocking.
• Operate extractors, dyers, and blower fans as needed.
• Inspect soiled articles to determine stains and color issues; identify items needing special treatment.
• Determine spotting procedures and proper solvents based on fabric and stain types.
• Iron or press articles, fabrics, banquet linens, napkins, spa linens using hand irons or pressing machines.
• Communicate with appropriate staff to identify needs for guest linens.
• Track and record all loads washed and dried using a provided spreadsheet; record losses due to stains, tears, wear.
