Job summary

Life Care Centers of America in Pensacola, FL is seeking a Laundry Aide to perform daily laundry duties ensuring patients' garments are clean and well-maintained. You will sort, wash, dry, iron, fold and distribute laundry while upholding Life Care standards and patient privacy.

You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, demonstrating excellent customer service, professionalism, and adherence to safety and sanitation protocols in a post-acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of post-acute care facility policies and procedures.
• Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary or confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Perform day to day laundry functions including collecting, sorting, ironing, folding, stacking, hanging, and distributing.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients.

Job description

The Laundry Aide performs day to day laundry services ensuring patients' laundry needs are met in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Prior health care experience preferred

Specific Job Requirements

• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facility
• Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department
• Perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitation
• Maintains professional working relationships with all associates, vendors, etc.
• Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
• Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
• Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care's Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training
