Job summary

Life Care Centers of America in Marysville, WA is seeking a Laundry Aide to perform day-to-day laundry services for patients, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and Life Care standards. The role requires a high school graduate (preferred) and health care experience is a plus.

The position is full-time, with daytime shifts and a pay rate between $18 and $22 per hour, depending on experience. Responsibilities include sorting, ironing, folding, distributing laundry, maintaining cleanliness

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Prior health care experience preferred.
• Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post acute care facility.
• Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the department.
• Perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: patient rights, and safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Perform day to day laundry functions including: collecting, sorting, ironing, folding, stacking, hanging, and distributing.
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients.
• Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment.
• Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
• Sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, reach, and move intermittently during working hours.
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Position Summary

The Laundry Aide performs day to day laundry services ensuring patients’ laundry needs are met in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.

Education, Experience, and Licensure Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred
• Prior health care experience preferred
