Position: PRN

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of this position is to perform various tasks such as cleaning, trash removal, laundry, etc., for residents and staff in the nursing center and during special events, in accordance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, regulations, and Solaris HealthCare’s policies and procedures.

Job Functions:

1. General Responsibilities:

• Ensure the cleanliness and proper handling of resident laundry.
• Pick up, launder, dry, and fold facility laundry (sheets, blankets, pillowcases, towels, washcloths, etc.).
• Pick up, launder, dry, fold, and hang residents' personal clothing. Return to rooms, organize, and hang clothes neatly.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and functionality according to facility procedures. Clean lint baskets frequently, wipe down washers and dryers after each shift, and report maintenance issues.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe. Be mindful of surroundings and others when moving heavy laundry containers and carts.
• Monitor soiled, stained, or tattered items; remove unfit items and notify the supervisor. Report low stock levels of supplies.
• Use PPE when handling chemicals and dispose of waste properly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, such as housekeeping or floor tech tasks.
• Adhere to dress codes and maintain personal cleanliness.

Administrative Responsibilities:

• Follow administrative protocols and document tasks as required.

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
