Scarlet Oaks Retirement and Rehabilitation Center in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Laundry and Housekeeping Supervisor to lead the housekeeping and laundry team and ensure a clean, safe environment for residents.

You will supervise staff, schedule shifts, train and provide feedback, coordinate with admissions for move-ins, and manage inventory of chemicals and linens while maintaining safety standards.

Formación

• Must have experience supervising housekeeping or laundry staff.
• Experience in healthcare or senior living preferred.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions clearly.
• Ability to communicate with residents, families, and staff.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain resident rooms, offices, hallways, stairways, elevators, and public areas in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition
• Supervise, schedule, and support housekeeping and laundry staff; provide direction, training, and performance feedback
• Ensure new and incoming resident rooms are cleaned, checked, and move-in ready; coordinate with admissions as needed
• Empty trash and keep janitor closets and supply rooms clean, safe, and organized
• Assist with laundry operations, including linens, towels, and resident personal laundry; follow all soiled/clean laundry protocols
• Maintain proper inventory of chemicals, supplies, and linens; ensure all chemical closets are locked and comply with safety policies

Job Summary

Scarlet Oaks Retirement and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Laundry and Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping and laundry team while performing daily cleaning tasks. As a key member of our facility team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain resident rooms, offices, hallways, stairways, elevators, and public areas in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition
• Supervise, schedule, and support housekeeping and laundry staff; provide direction, training, and performance feedback
• Ensure new and incoming resident rooms are cleaned, checked, and move-in ready; coordinate with admissions as needed
• Empty trash and keep janitor closets and supply rooms clean, safe, and organized
• Assist with laundry operations, including linens, towels, and resident personal laundry; follow all soiled/clean laundry protocols

Qualifications:

• Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions necessary to perform all job duties
• Previous housekeeping and/or laundry experience; supervisory or lead experience highly preferred, especially in healthcare or senior living
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Genuine passion for working with the elderly and providing excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills with residents, families, staff, and visitors
• Ability to remain calm, organized, and decisive under stressful conditionsPhysical ability to regularly lift, carry, push/pull, stand, walk, squat/kneel, see, and speak throughout the shift
