Job summary

River Falls Post Acute in Marietta, South Carolina is seeking a dependable Laundry Aide for a part-time role. You will handle linens, clothing, and resident laundry to keep residents comfortable and the facility sanitary.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure an adequate supply of clean linens for resident care and comfort.
  • Collect resident laundry daily and as needed.
  • Sort, wash, dry, fold, and organize clothing and linens.
  • Label resident clothing items as needed.
  • Deliver clean laundry to resident rooms promptly.
  • Inspect linens and garments and remove worn items from service.
  • Follow sanitation and infection control procedures.
  • Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and report shortages.

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Laundry Aide to help ensure our residents have clean clothing, linens, and bedding every day. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, comfortable, and sanitary environment throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure an adequate supply of clean linens is available for resident care and comfort
  • Collect resident laundry daily and as needed
  • Sort, treat, wash, dry, fold, and organize clothing and linens
  • Label resident clothing items as needed
  • Deliver clean laundry to resident rooms in a timely manner
  • Inspect linens and garments for damage and remove worn or stained items from service
  • Follow all sanitation, infection control, and laundry procedures
  • Maintain inventory of laundry supplies and report shortages as needed
  • Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently
  • Report equipment malfunctions and maintenance concerns promptly
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary laundry area
  • Assist with housekeeping duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous laundry, housekeeping, or environmental services experience preferred
  • Healthcare or long-term care experience is a plus
