Job summary

Hillcrest Commons Nursing & Rehab Center is seeking a Laundry Aide for on-site work at Hillcrest Commons in Pittsfield, MA. You will perform day-to-day laundry tasks, coordinate with nursing staff, and ensure clean linens are provided to designated areas with strict adherence to safety and infection control policies.

Strong attention to detail and teamwork with other care staff will support high-quality resident care and comfort in a post-acute environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in laundry operations or housekeeping preferred.
• Able to follow established safety and infection control procedures.

As Laundry Aide You Will

• Perform day-to-day laundry functions as assigned.
• Perform assigned tasks in accordance with established laundry procedures.
• Assure that clean laundry, linen, garments, etc., are distributed to designated areas as instructed during emergency conditions.
• Assure that appropriate caution/safety signs are properly set up prior to performing such duties.
• Ensure that work/cleaning schedules for equipment are followed.
• Report all accidents/incidents in a timely manner to your supervisor.
• Coordinate daily laundry services with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living areas.
• Assist with department orientation training for new staff.
• Attend departmental and staff meetings.
• Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
• Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment.
• Ensure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.
• Follow established policies governing the use of labels and MSDSs.
• Ensure that infection control policies and procedures are maintained when performing laundry procedures.

Location: On Site Position at Hillcrest Commons, Pittsfield MA

Pay Rate Based On Years Of Experience

$16.00 - $18.78 per hour

Weekend and evening differential available
