Job summary

Wright Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a dependable Laundry Aide for the second shift to ensure timely and accurate laundering of linens and residents’ clothing. You will support a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents by handling laundry tasks and following infection control procedures.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and reliable attendance. Opportunities exist for advancement within a supportive healthcare team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous laundry or housekeeping experience in healthcare or long-term care is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25–50 lbs.
• Reliable attendance and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, wash, dry, and fold facility linens and residents’ personal laundry.
• Operate commercial laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure proper handling and labeling of residents’ clothing.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures.
• Report equipment issues or supply needs to supervisor.
• Assist with delivery and distribution of clean laundry throughout the facility.
