Job summary

Mqshealth is looking for a part-time Laundry Aide at Westerly Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. The Laundry Aide plays a vital role in maintaining a clean environment, ensuring that linens and clothing contribute to the residents' comfort and dignity.

Job responsibilities include collecting, washing, drying, folding, and returning laundry. Candidates should have a high school diploma and preferably prior experience. Benefits include tuition reimbursement, health benefits, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Laundry Aide or in a housekeeping role preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

  • Wash, dry, and properly care for resident clothing and facility linens.
  • Fold, sort, and return clean laundry to residents accurately.
  • Maintain organized laundry areas and ensure equipment is used safely.

Responsibilities for Laundry Aide:
  • Collect resident laundry from rooms in a timely and respectful manner.
  • Wash, dry, and properly care for resident clothing and facility linens according to established procedures.
  • Fold, sort, and return clean laundry to residents, ensuring items are delivered accurately and neatly.
  • Maintain organized laundry areas and ensure equipment is used safely and properly.
  • Assist with non‑clinical support tasks as needed to support overall facility operations.
  • Follow infection control procedures and safety guidelines to maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
  • Report any issues with damaged or missing items to the appropriate staff.
Qualifications for Laundry Aide:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior experience as a Laundry Aide or in a housekeeping role preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Ability to follow instructions, maintain attention to detail, and work effectively in a team environment.
