Bedrock Healthcare is seeking a Long-Term Care Laundry Aide to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents and staff. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the proper laundering of linens, clothing, and other items, contributing to the well-being and comfort of residents.

You will operate washers, dryers, and ironing machines, inspect items for stains or wear, manage an organized inventory of clean linens, and follow infection control guidelines.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in laundry operations, preferably in healthcare.
  • Knowledge of laundry equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify issues with laundry items.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift and move laundry items.

Responsibilities

  • Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens, clothing, and other laundry items according to established procedures and guidelines.
  • Operate laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and ironing machines, ensuring they are used efficiently and safely.
  • Inspect linens and clothing for stains, damage, or wear, and follow appropriate procedures for repair or replacement.
  • Ensure that all laundry meets quality standards and infection control guidelines.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of clean linens and clothing.
  • Monitor and report shortages or excesses of linen supplies and assist in ordering replacements as needed.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures in handling, washing, and distributing laundry.
  • Follow facility policies and procedures related to laundry operations.
  • Stay informed about and comply with relevant health and safety regulations.
