Job summary

PACS is seeking a general laundry and housekeeping aide for a Goodlettsville post-acute facility. You will handle linen, operate washers/dryers, and keep areas sanitary to ensure resident comfort.

The role requires reliability, basic math, and the ability to follow directions. Lifting up to 50 pounds is required; GED or HS diploma preferred, no certifications needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Provide clean linen to residents for care and comfort.
  • Maintain linen in good repair; remove damaged items.
  • Collect residents' laundry daily or as needed.
  • Label new residents' clothing as needed.
  • Sort, treat, wash, dry and fold laundry.
  • Deliver clean laundry to resident rooms.
  • Follow sanitary procedures for laundry duties.
  • Maintain inventory of laundry supplies.
  • Operate laundry equipment safely.
  • Report equipment issues to the Administrator.

Job description

General Purpose

Performs a variety of general laundry and housekeeping/cleaning duties to provide quality laundry service and to maintain the nursing home in a sanitary manner, and free from offensive orders.

Essential Duties
  • Make available a quantity of clean linen for proper care and comfort of all residents.
  • Maintain all linen in good repair and remove from service any linen with holes and/or stains.
  • Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
  • Label new resident’s clothing items as needed.
  • Sorting, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens.
  • Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms.
  • Follows all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties.
  • Maintain inventory of laundry supplies.
  • Use all laundry equipment and supplies in a safe manner.
  • Report laundry equipment issues to the Administrator.
Supervisory Requirements

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualification Education and/or Experience

GED or High School Diploma. 1 year of experience preferred.

Language Skills

Ability to read and understand directions related to laundry/housekeeping procedures.

Mathematical Skills

Basic math skills.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to problem solve and seek assistance when needed.
