Job summary

Carriage Inn of Steubenville is seeking a Laundry Aid to support residents with clean linens and clothing, while maintaining safety and infection control standards. You will operate laundry equipment, label and distribute items, and help with linen inventory in a caring, respectful environment.

Responsibilities

• Collect soiled linens and resident clothing from designated areas.
• Sort laundry according to fabric type, color, and washing requirements.
• Operate washers, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Fold, label, and distribute clean laundry to residents and departments.
• Inspect linens and clothing for damage and report items needing repair or replacement.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures when handling soiled laundry.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of laundry room and equipment.
• Monitor and report equipment malfunctions to supervisor.
• Ensure proper use of detergents, chemicals, and supplies.
• Respect resident privacy and handle personal clothing with care.
• Assist with inventory of linens and laundry supplies as needed.
