Citadel At Casa Scalabrini in Illinois is seeking a Laundry Aide to join our care team. You will perform a range of laundry duties, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure linens, garments, and washables are properly laundered and organized for residents.

• Experience in an institutional setting preferred.
• Must be able to read, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Sort linens and treat stains.
• Load washers with appropriate cleaning agents.
• Take wet items, dry as directed, and fold or hang clean items.
• May deliver laundry to residents' rooms or other locations.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and communicate needs to supervisor.
• Maintain laundry equipment and report maintenance needs to the manager.
• All other duties as assigned.

Citadel At Casa Scalabrini is seeking a Laundry Aide to join their team! The Laundry Aide provides a variety of laundry duties in an orderly, sanitary condition and in collecting and laundering of linens, garments, and washables.

Laundry Aide Duties and Responsibilities

• Sorts all linens and treat stains.
• Loads all laundry into washer and adds specified cleaning agents.
• Takes wet, clean items and dries as directed.
• Sorts and folds or hangs clean dried items.
• May deliver laundry to various locations, including residents’ rooms.
• Maintains inventory of all cleaning supplies and communicates needs to manager.
• Maintains all laundry equipment and informs facility’s manager as to any maintenance needs.
• All other duties, as assigned

Laundry Aide Skills and Abilities

• Must be able to read, speak and understand the English.
• Must be able to operate washer/dryer.

Laundry Aide Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in an institutional setting performing housekeeping services preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
• Must be able to push, pull move and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
• May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
