Apploi is seeking a Laundry Aide for the 2nd shift to support residents in a healthcare setting. You will sort, wash, dry, iron, and fold resident clothing and linens, while maintaining equipment and supplies and keeping the area organized and clean.

Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and English communication are required. This role offers opportunities for growth within a fast-paced care environment and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Ability to make independent decisions and follow instructions.
• Maintain care and use of supplies and equipment; keep work areas clean.

Responsibilities

• Perform laundry services: sorting, washing, drying, ironing, folding resident clothing and linens.
• Maintain and clean equipment and supplies; store properly at shift end.
• Follow established laundry procedures to complete tasks timely and efficiently.
• Keep laundry area clean and organized; ensure supplies and equipment are stored and accessible.
• Assist with cleaning and disinfecting of equipment and supplies.
• Report issues to supervisor or administration.
• Participate in in-service training and programs to stay updated on best practices.

Responsibilities:

• Perform laundry services, including sorting, washing, drying, ironing, and folding of resident's clothing and linens
• Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring that all equipment is cleaned and properly stored at the end of the shift
• Follow established procedures and protocols for laundry services, ensuring that all tasks are completed in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintain a clean and organized laundry area, ensuring that all supplies and equipment are properly stored and within reach
• Assist with cleaning and disinfecting of equipment and supplies
• Report any issues or concerns to the supervisor or administration team
• Participate in in-service training and educational programs to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry standards

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, to follow instructions, and to accept constructive criticism
• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies or personnel, and the general public
• Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of maintenance work areas
• Must have the ability to minimize waste of supplies, misuse of equipment, etc.
• Must possess the ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing maintenance practices
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and team concept
