Job summary

Lemont Nursing and Rehab is seeking a dedicated Laundry Aide to keep linens clean and distributed to residents. You will collect, wash, dry, fold, and redistribute laundry while maintaining high sanitation standards and following facility procedures.

This role supports resident comfort and safety in a busy extended-care setting. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and strong organizational and teamwork skills; training on OSHA, PPE, and MSDS will be provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to provide housekeeping and laundry services in a resident-centered environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Written and verbal communication skills for effective teamwork.
• Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work semi-independently while following facility procedures.

Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and redistribute laundry throughout the facility.
• Ensure the community remains in compliance with OSHA requirements and risk management policies.
• Follow all safety procedures, including PPE use and MSDS regulations.
• Handle potential exposure to hazardous materials and infectious diseases while following proper precautions.
• Work collaboratively as part of the housekeeping and laundry team.
• Ensure clean linens and personal items are properly washed, dried, folded, and distributed.
• Follow all facility policies and procedures to maintain cleanliness and safety.

Laundry Aide

Laundry Aide to ensure that units are stocked with clean linens and personal items are properly laundered and distributed to residents. The Laundry Aide will be responsible for collecting, washing, drying, folding, and redistributing laundry while maintaining high sanitation standards.

Laundry Aide Requirements:
