Job summary

Citadel at Saint Joseph Village is seeking a Laundry Aide to join their team. The role supports resident comfort by managing linens and laundry in a clean, orderly environment.

Responsibilities include sorting, washing, drying, folding, delivering to rooms, maintaining supplies and equipment, and performing additional duties as assigned to ensure a welcoming, hygienic facility for residents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in an institutional setting performing housekeeping services preferred.
• Must read, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Sort linens and treat stains.
• Load laundry into washer and add cleaning agents.
• Dry, sort, fold or hang clean items.
• Deliver laundry to residents' rooms when needed.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and communicate needs to manager.
• Maintain laundry equipment and report maintenance needs.
• All other duties, as assigned.

Citadel at Saint Joseph Village is seeking a Laundry Aide to join their team! The Laundry Aide provides a variety of laundry duties in an orderly, sanitary condition and in collecting and laundering of linens, garments, and washables.

Laundry Aide Duties and Responsibilities:

• Sorts all linens and treat stains.
• Loads all laundry into washer and adds specified cleaning agents.
• Takes wet, clean items and dries as directed.
• Sorts and folds or hangs clean dried items.
• May deliver laundry to various locations, including residents’ rooms.
• Maintains inventory of all cleaning supplies and communicates needs to manager.
• Maintains all laundry equipment and informs facility’s manager as to any maintenance needs.
• All other duties, as assigned

Laundry Aide Skills and Abilities:

• Must be able to read, speak and understand the English.
• Must be able to operate washer/dryer.

Laundry Aide Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in an institutional setting performing housekeeping services preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
• Must be able to push, pull move and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
• May be necessary to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
