Job summary

Birchwood Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a Laundry Staff Member to provide residents with clean linens and clothing, maintaining comfort and hygiene throughout the facility. This role relies on reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

You will operate household and industrial laundry equipment, fold and organize linens, deliver clean linens to resident rooms, keep laundry areas and equipment in good condition, and handle detergents

Qualifications

• Previous experience in laundry in healthcare setting preferred
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and infection-control practices
• Strong attention to detail to ensure cleanliness and organization
• Able to lift and move linens and operate equipment safely

Responsibilities

• Wash & dry laundry using household and industrial equipment
• Fold & organize linens for storage and distribution

We are seeking a Laundry Staff Member to join our growing team! This role is essential in providing residents with clean, well-maintained linens and clothing, ensuring their comfort and hygiene. Your Impact as a Laundry Staff Member

In this role, you will:

• Wash & Dry Laundry: Utilize both household and industrial laundry equipment to clean resident and facility linens and clothing.
• Fold & Organize Linens: Fold and stack linen neatly, ensuring proper storage and distribution.
• Deliver Clean Linens: Ensure linens and laundry are delivered promptly to resident rooms and facility areas.
• Maintain Cleanliness: Keep laundry areas and equipment clean and in good working condition.
• Handle Chemicals Safely: Use approved laundry detergents and chemicals according to safety guidelines.
• Assist Residents: Deliver clothing directly to residents' rooms and ensure items are handled with care.
