Job summary

Pilgrim Place in Claremont, CA is seeking a compassionate Laundry Aide to support residents with dignity and respect in daily living activities. This full-time position involves washing, drying, folding linens, stocking supplies, and assisting with housekeeping while adhering to safety and confidentiality guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience in or ability to learn laundry procedures.
• Ability to follow special laundry requirements in a licensed facility.
• Basic housekeeping experience required.
• Ability to work one-on-one with seniors using patience and tact.
• Strong communication in English, confidentiality, sound judgment, and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Collects, sorts, washes, dries, folds, and returns residents’ clothing and linens.
• Hand washes items and performs minor clothing repairs as needed.
• Stocks linen closets, linen carts, towels, blankets, and resident care supplies daily.
• Maintains laundry equipment, cleans dryer filters, and keeps work areas organized.
• Assists with housekeeping duties, follows safety practices, and completes assigned tasks.
