Hopewell Grove Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking a dedicated Laundry Aide to support our residents and uphold high cleanliness standards. You will manage washing, drying, folding, and distribution of linens and clothing, while maintaining a tidy and safe laundry area in compliance with infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare is preferred but not required.
• Must have strong attention to detail and care for items.
• Knowledge of infection control practices is a plus.
• Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Wash, dry, fold, and distribute resident clothing, linens, and towels according to facility guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundry room and surrounding areas.
• Sort laundry by type and color, ensuring proper handling of delicate items and personal clothing.
• Ensure that all linens and laundry are handled and processed in accordance with infection control standards.
• Operate laundry equipment (washers, dryers, ironing machines) safely and efficiently.
• Assist with inventory management of laundry supplies, notifying the supervisor when supplies are low.
• Ensure proper labeling and tracking of resident clothing to prevent loss or mix-ups.
• Report any laundry room maintenance issues or damaged equipment to the appropriate staff.
• Assist with maintaining a safe, sanitary, and organized working environment.
