American Equity Investment Life Insurance Company seeks an Analyst, Strategic Initiatives Intern to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, collaborative environment. You will support initiatives across American Equity and Brookfield Wealth Solutions, including mergers, financing, product design, and capital management.

You will analyze complex business challenges, prepare recommendations, and communicate findings while receiving mentorship from experienced investment and finance professionals.

Qualifications

• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
• Prior exposure to investment banking, private equity, credit, asset management, or corporate finance preferred.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate on and support value-creation initiatives across Brookfield Wealth Solutions, American National, and American Equity.
• Prepare presentations and financial analyses to support senior leadership decisions and external communications.
• Assist with development of financial and insurance capital models, including valuation and credit analysis.
• Conduct research and provide strategic insights on business strategies, products, end markets, and transactions.
• Analyze financial and operational data, identify trends, and summarize findings clearly.
• Complete tasks with guidance from a mentor and department leader.
• Collaborate with interns across departments on cross-functional initiatives.
• Participate in potential travel opportunities with affiliated entities.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and perform related duties.
