Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. (PCC) Spanish Fork facility is seeking entry-level Plating Operator Level 1 to support the plating department. The role involves racking, unracking, cleaning aerospace parts, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in a fast-paced production setting.

The candidate will perform verifications to remove organic soils, fingerprints, and dust, and may deal with ITAR/EAR regulated materials requiring U.S. citizenship or eligible status.

Qualifications

• Basic math operations with whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Good communication skills.
• Work well alone or in a team.
• Read/write in English; follow written procedures.
• Lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Review work instructions for racking, unracking and cleaning operations.
• Perform receiving inspections and report discrepancies.
• Gather supplies such as racks, tooling, baskets, carts.
• Rack production parts for plating, passivation and paint stripping.
• Oil parts for corrosion protection.
• Clean production parts via degreasing or solvent cleaning.
• Load parts into heated ovens for stress and bake operations.
• Use PPE and comply with safety directives.
• Handle chemicals/solvents and work in variable conditions.
• Coordinate with leadership to complete and prioritize tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Document, count parts, scan, package and transport parts.
