Job summary

MITRE’s Cyber New Professionals Program is a two-year, full-time, hybrid position designed for early-career staff. It offers structured training, mentorship from cybersecurity experts, and diverse project experience across national challenges.

Participants will work with MITRE ATT&CK, Caldera, and other tools to counter threats, develop proofs of concept, and transition into a MITRE department after two years.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or graduate degree completed by start date.
• Less than 2 years of related experience.
• Hands-on technical experience through work, internships or projects.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. government Top Secret clearance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop threat-informed solutions using MITRE ATT&CK and Caldera.
• Research novel ideas and build proofs of concept.
• Apply threat-informed cybersecurity to protect critical systems.
• Analyze binaries, firmware, embedded systems, and protocols.
• Collaborate with sponsors, vendors, and academia.
