Job summary

SpaceX is hiring a Launch Reliability Engineer to advocate mission assurance at the launch site and partner with Flight Reliability, Launch Reliability, and Launch Operations teams to ensure mission success across Falcon 9, Dragon, and Starship programs.

You will identify high-risk processes, drive improvements, and maintain a data-driven quality landscape to enable a reliable launch cadence. The role requires a 1+ year engineering background and a strong Lean/quality toolkit.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or physics.
  • 1+ years of professional or internship experience in a quality, manufacturing, or design engineering role.

Responsibilities

  • Promote mission assurance at the launch site and ensure efficient, reliable processing of vehicle, payload, and spacecraft.
  • Collaborate with SpaceX teams to optimize processing health across Falcon 9, Dragon, Starship.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Support design reviews (PDR/CDR) to ensure DFQ/DFM and appropriate test validation methods.
