Job summary

  • Lead packaging design for New Product Launches with sustainability considerations and 3Ps assessment (Patient, Planet, Performance).
  • Lead documentation standards for new product registrations (NCEs) ensuring regulatory filings meet global requirements.

As Launch Packaging Leader, you will be accountable for implementing our packaging vision & mission for new launches projects, execute the packaging strategy, and manage roadmaps and processes for primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging of injectable/solids. You will work closely with the Global Area Head of Packaging to transform the organization's mindset and create a culture where end-to-end packaging for injectable or solids is part of our DNA and patient‑centric approach.

Main Responsibilities
  • Drive 45+ NPI/new launch projects (solids and injectables) globally, leading a group of packaging engineers to meet Launch Project milestones on time, on budget and on quality (≥95% execution adherence).
  • Lead packaging design and development for New Product Launches (NPL), driving innovation and sustainability across the portfolio, with 100% of newly developed packaging assessed against the 3Ps framework (Patient, Planet, Performance).
  • Lead content and technical documentation standards for new product registrations (NCEs), ensuring filings meet global regulatory requirements and project timelines.
  • Provide technical packaging leadership and analysis to R&D, Regulatory, manufacturing sites for the registration of products worldwide, representing GDPU and M&S on Global Project Teams and CMC sub-teams.
  • Direct innovation programs for the search, evaluation and introduction of new packaging technologies to improve quality and compliance, advance sustainability (Eco‑design initiatives), improve efficiencies, reduce costs, eliminate waste and maintain supply continuity. Promote a culture of end‑to‑end packaging for injectable or solid within GDPU and related departments through communication, education, and recognition programs.
  • Manage and develop the team responsible for launch packaging development.
About You

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, materials science, pharmaceutical sciences or other relevant scientific discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in driving packaging launch initiatives, packaging engineering or other related fields.
  • Proven track record in managing injectable or solid packaging projects and teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence across functions and external networks, excellence in collaboration, and flexibility in approach.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for injectable or solid product packaging.
  • Languages: Fluent in English, French is a plus.

Salary

The salary range for this position is: $133.500,00 - $192.833,33

All compensation will be determined commensurate with demonstrated experience. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs, and additional benefits information can be found here.
