JOIN ONE OF THE LARGEST LATIN PROGRAMS IN CALIFORNIA!
Our Latin program seeks to produce scholars who can read original works in classical Latin and explore the great ideas found within them. We do this through a rigorous program beginning, and required, in Middle School, which continues into Latin 1-4 (including honors) in High School. Our program uses Lingua Latina per se illustrata as the foundation, with accompanying communicative/CI based components to produce an experience that both prepares the scholar for reading ancient literature in the original Latin and allows them to build confidence as Latinists.
The Classical Secondary Teacher manages the learning environment of scholars enrolled in our educational program in accordance with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the Board of Trustees and in compliance with the laws of California. The Classical Education Teacher employs the American Classical Leadership Education model which presupposes that each individual is born with a unique and individual mission to fulfill. American Classical Leadership Education at John Adams Academy consists of discovering, preparing for, and fulfilling the mission of restoring America’s heritage by developing servant leaders.
At John Adams Academy, the Classical Education Teacher educates scholars “how to think” and teaches them why it is important. They implement the curriculum to develop classically educated leaders who are prepared to motivate and inspire individuals, communities, and nations to a greater good in an environment of freedom and prosperity that naturally produces the best society has to offer.
John Adams Academy is willing to work with a qualified candidate and support them in pursuing the appropriate California credential or authorization.
