MiraCosta College is seeking a Part-Time Faculty instructor to teach DNCE 146: Latin Dance Technique I for Fall Semester 2026. The position is part-time and encompasses Oceanside, Cardiff, and Carlsbad locations with a two-hundred mile residency policy.

Applications are accepted for the Fall 2026 pool; a new posting will be posted on July 1, 2026, and reapplication is required. The department emphasizes equity, diversity and student engagement in dance education.

Competenze

• Master’s or higher in dance or related fields as listed in minimum qualifications.
• Ability to teach DNCE 146: Latin Dance Technique I.
• Demonstrated ongoing commitment to equity and student success.

Mansioni

• Plan, organize and develop instructional materials for assigned courses.
• Provide prompt feedback on student work and maintain records.
• Be available to students by phone, email, and LMS; hold office hours.
• Maintain attendance and course records; protect student confidentiality.
• Collaborate with department chairs and faculty to support program goals.

Formazione

Master’s degree in dance, physical education with a dance emphasis, or theater with dance emphasis;

Master’s degree in Theatre and Dance (Dance Theatre) – an approved comparable degree;

Bachelor’s degree in any of the above AND master’s degree in physical education, any life science, physiology, theater arts, kinesiology, humanities, performing arts, or music;

California Community College Credential in the discipline area
