Job summary

HUDSON CITY CONSULTING LIMITED LIAB is seeking a skilled Lathe Operator to join our production team. You will set up and run manual lathes and milling machines, reading blueprints and work orders to fabricate precision metal parts used in pumps and related equipment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of hands-on machining experience, knowledge of precision measuring tools, and the ability to work independently. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, on-site in New Jersey.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience operating manual lathes and milling machines.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments.
• Independent worker with strong work ethic.
• Experience in pump manufacturing, repair, or industrial equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

We are hiring a LATHE OPERATOR. We are seeking a skilled and dependable Manual Lathe & Milling Machine Operator to join our production team.

Position Summary

The Manual Lathe & Milling Machine Operator will be responsible for machining, repairing, and fabricating precision parts used in the manufacturing and maintenance of industrial pumps and related equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating manual machine shop equipment, be comfortable working independently, and have a strong understanding of shop practices and measuring instruments.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual lathes and milling machines.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
• Machine, modify, repair, and fabricate metal components to required specifications.
• Perform accurate measurements using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.

• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Experience in pump manufacturing, repair, or industrial equipment is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing and machine shop environment.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay: $22.00 - $27.00/hour, based on experience.
• Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
