Lake Forest Police Department is seeking experienced lateral police officers to join our team. The department values professionalism, teamwork, and community engagement while offering diverse patrol and investigative opportunities and participation in regional mutual-aid organizations.

Minimum qualifications include 2 years of sworn law enforcement experience, ILETSB certification or reciprocity, a valid driver’s license, and U.S. work eligibility.

Qualifikationen

• Two years of full-time sworn law enforcement experience within the past three years.
• ILALETSB certification or valid reciprocity for out-of-state training.
• Driver's license required.
• Eligibility to work in the United States and to possess a firearm.
• Background investigation in accordance with Illinois law.

• Demonstrate empathy for individuals in crisis or facing addiction or mental health issues.
• Engage in preliminary and follow-up criminal/traffic investigations and interviews.
