Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• A current and valid OPOTA Basic Peace Officer Certification or Ohio State Highway Patrol certification.
• Successful pass of the selection process including fitness testing, polygraph, background investigation, medical examination, drug testing, and psychological evaluations.
• Ability to complete basic law enforcement training as assigned by the department.
• A valid Ohio driver's license (by time of appointment).
• Minimum age of 21 on the date of appointment.
• Minimum of one (1) year full-time experience required.
